The following photos were taken if my memory is correct (after 49 years) at a dress rehearsal of the blue train. I used Kodachrome high speed transparency film (slides) because of the low light conditions and my camera at the time was a Voigtlander 35mm camera with what I would call, guess at the distance focusing and amount of lighting. That will explain some of the fuzzy pictures you are about to see. Unlike today's digital cameras, I was unable to see what picture I was taking except through the view finder which wasn't what the lens was seeing so I was unable to tell if the picture I was about to take was in focus. All in all, the pictures didn't come out too bad considering the conditions and my camera.I don't know if any one else out there has some Tattoo pictures but I haven't found any on the web at all. I hope therefore by sharing these with you that you'll be flooded with memories of those days when we were all young and full of energy. If you were only on the stadium show, these arena show pictures should nevertheless strike a chord as the scenes were the same albeit much larger in the stadium version.
I hope you enjoy and if so, send me an email, I'd like to hear from you.
